Necklace "Reliance" (gold plated)

It is a two-in-one necklace: it consists of two medallions that overlap and complement each other. I created a pierced star and a solid star, and the two fit together perfectly. The hole formed by the open star represents the person who has passed away. It symbolises absence and loss. The closed star symbolises the strong bonds that remain despite everything. 

It represents the soul that now watches over us. I wanted to create a piece of jewellery that symbolises the power of our bonds, beyond absence. I wanted to remind us that even though we can no longer see or touch the person who has left us too soon, our souls remain connected for eternity. This is the magic of love that humans share on Earth and beyond.

This piece of jewellery has something even more magical about it. It's not just two pretty necklaces. When you purchase it, you receive a small sparkling star in addition to the jewellery: the same one as the shorter necklace, which fits into the centre of your medallion like a little puzzle piece.  

You probably won't keep this little cut-out star. Instead, I invite you to place it, like an offering, in a place that connects you forever to the person you have lost. A garden, a grave, a house, a holiday destination, a beach, a forest, etc. In this way, you are offering the deceased the same star that you will wear in their honour. This lovely gesture represents your eternal bond.
